Most new mothers don’t have as much time as they would like to have with their baby, especially if they are working outside he home. Time is valuable.
The less time you spend on baby-related chores the more time you can spend cuddling with your baby.
Here are the top 10 time-saving baby care products:
10. Big basket
Put all of your baby supplies—diapers, wipes, onesies, lotion, etc.—in a basket that has a handle, which you can carry with you from one room to another instead of carrying the baby to the supplies. This eliminates running upstairs or downstairs to retrieve needed items. Alternatively, place several supplied-filled baskets (or containers) at different locations in your house so you always have easy access to them.
9. Plastic pitcher
If you are bottle feeding, mix up a big batch of formula at one time and put it in a 30- to 60-ounce plastic pitcher and refrigerate. The formula is good for a day (24 hours) after it has been mixed. This eliminates the need to mix up formula at every feeding. This will save you a lot of time.
8. Giant diaper bag
Every new mother needs a big, accommodating diaper bag. In fact, she probably needs a couple of them. Fill one diaper bag with virtually everything your baby might need at any time and leave it in the car. Re-fill the diaper bag as needed with necessary supplies. You’ll never again leave the house without your diaper bag because it’s already in your vehicle. A simplistic notion, perhaps, but how many of us have forgotten the diaper bag behind and had to turn around and retrieve it? That’s too much time spent on the road and a good way to be late for work. The less harried the new mother is the better for everyone. Keep your stress at a minimum.
7. Mini-frig
If you are bottle feeding, put a small refrigerator and bottle warmer in the baby’s room or in your room if he’s sleeping in the master bedroom. Fill the refrigerator with bottles of formula. This way you don’t have to go to the kitchen to retrieve and warm up bottles in the middle of the night.
6. Family bed
Many mothers have enjoyed great success using a co-sleeper baby bed. The baby sleeps virtually right next to mom’s bed but in her own co-sleeper bed. The padded railing on the side of the co-sleeper that attaches to mom’s side of the bed is not high so it is easy for mom to access her baby. All mom has to do is reach out and pull the baby to her to breastfeed. Using this method eliminates getting up and out of bed, retrieving the baby from a crib and getting back up and putting her back in bed when she is finished eating. Valuable sleep time is salvaged.
5. Mesh laundry bag
Put your infants’ dirty clothing in a large mesh bag and toss the bag into the washing machine. When the wash cycle is complete, toss the bag (containing the clothing) into the dryer. This keeps the baby’s clothing together, and you don’t have to spend time sorting it.
4. Baby sling
Invest in a wrap, baby sling or some sort of baby carrier that allows you to tote your infant around while you are working. These products leave both hands free. Baby will be happy and content snuggled close to you, and you will be able to get some chores done.
3. Electric breast pump
Purchase an electric breast pump. Manually pumping takes too much time and effort. You can rent breast pumps from the hospital where you gave birth to your child. The hospital models are fast and efficient. An even greater time saver is pumping one breast while your baby is nursing on the other one.
2. Diaper Covers
The diaper cover is a mother’s dream. It is easy on, easy off, and keeps your infant looking stylish with minimal effort. You do not have to wrangle around with multiple garments, which is annoying, particularly when the weather is warm and you don’t want to put your little one in anything more than a diaper. Diaper covers are comfortable, long lasting and fit well, allowing your child to move but keeping those ugly diapers covered up. Anything that makes the lives of mothers easier is appreciated.
1. Hire help

Be like the stars: hire help. Select a surrogate, have her carry and deliver your baby for you; hire a wet nurse and have her feed your baby and employ a full-time nanny. Okay, not an option for most and certainly not the goal of most mothers but, just saying ….
