Autumn is an amazing and beautiful time of year.

The leaves are ablaze with the reds, golds and oranges of the season and the perennials are putting on one last show before the snow flies. Get out and enjoy the season in all its glory. Fall color is available almost everywhere but here are the top 10 best fall foliage spots.

10. Maine

Grab your sunglasses. A quiet drive along the Atlantic coast shows visitors the beauty that is Maine. In fact, it may be the Pine Tree State but it has some of the best fall foliage, too.

9. Vermont

To many travelers, a fall color tour in Vermont is the quintessential autumn drive. Renowned for its undisturbed natural beauty, Vermont has some great fall vistas for both professional and amateur photographers.

8. Minnesota

The leaves in northern Minnesota lose that chlorophyll early, sometimes as early as the first few days of September. Grab a cardigan sweater and head out for a walk around one of the many lakes and the best fall foliage of the season.
