From time to time, everyone has a problem getting to sleep or staying asleep.

Of course, most of us do not have a problem that goes on and on and on but there are plenty of people who do indeed have one type of problem or another. Sleep disorders are nothing to take lightly and some of them can become so severe that people actually begin to dread getting ready for bed or waking up in the morning because they know they are in for another battle with their disorder. Without further ado, we have brought you the top 10 sleep disorders people face.

10. Rapid Eye Movement Behavior Disorder

Night Terrors are often confused with your run of the mill nightmares, but they are actually quite a bit more severe. While most people will wake from a nightmare and immediately realize that the scares they were experiencing weren’t real, night terrors can last a bit longer. Children are especially susceptible to these and may not even become fully awake. The child may look alert, with their eyes open but they can still be screaming or inconsolable. They also may not recognize their parents or family members.

8. Sleep Walking

Sleep Walking

This particular disorder is especially odd because a person who is doing it can appear completely awake. Sleep walking can actually mean doing anything as though a person was awake, while they are unconscious. People who have this disorder are generally exhausted the next day, because their body really didn’t get the amount of rest and recuperation that was needed.
